Hi there! I'm Tahar Meijs, software engineer with a passion for graphics!

I'm a software engineer studying at Breda University of Applied Sciences. My main focus is on high-performance real-time computer graphics and in-house game engines. My best work is showcased on this website. Enjoy!

Real-Time Ray-Traced Maya Viewport

A project that adds real-time ray-tracing to the Maya viewport.

Grads in Games – Rising Star 2019

Won the game Sumo Digital Rising Star game development challenge!

Software Rasterizer

A C++ software rasterizer. This was a great way to learn how GPUs render triangle meshes to the screen.

Emulating Chip8 in C++

Side project of mine where I learn how to emulate a simple processor in C++.

Cross-Platform Game Engine

Fully functional custom cross-platform c++ game engine for Windows and Nintendo Switch. Worked as part of a 20-man team.

Custom 2D Game Engine

100% custom built game engine for 2D games. Fully written in C++. DX12 is used to render the game.

Fuse

Built using Unreal Engine 4. The gameplay is programmed in C++ and UE4 Blueprints. Worked as part of a 10-man team.

Barrel Roll

This project uses Unity3D an Arduino Micro. C# is used for the gameplay logic, the custom controller logic uses C++.

Vulkanic

Vulkan-based renderer to learn Vulkan and the new NV_VK_raytracing extension.
